http://www.taboospeedshop.com/emissions1.htmmy friend did it with his 2g, and i did with both of my 1gs. No problems from it. There a good shop lots of helpful write ups from them.
do you also have a 2g? cuz it says you have 90' and last time i checked thats a 6bolt. Are you a billy badass that walked there 6bolt, if so stay away from my car ;)
i did a swapped a bad 2l n/a motor with a good jdm one and the car works great. As for how it was treated before you get it. As long as the oil was changed and they used 87+ octane which im sure they all do this really isn't an issue. You could get lucky and get a 16g or 510cc injectors...
my favorite part about this is that its not his fault. The car mis-shifted haha. Someone is in denial. Ya buddy you f*'d up. Rather well. My friend did this in his civic. haha, all we saw was the tach shoot past 9 and just in time he pushed in the clutch. Not sure why the clutch grabbed but its...
yep you cant change reallllly old fluid if its been in there forever, or your tranny will fall apart, but like he said your car is a 99' so go for it. oh get some nose plugs too... cuz it is going to stink! not as bad as burned up differential though ;)
maybe something for an automatic, or the 1.8L.... car manufaturers try to make all there stuff universal to save costs. Mine is empty. So i think your safe.
dsm's can be reliable. The main problem people have with them is there cheap and lazy. So if a part breaks they figure they'll drive it until they have time to fix it. Unfortunately in most cases it will break something else. So as long as you take care of your car and do things right the first...
jdmawd, i see you have an oilfilter relocation kit. Is it a kit or home-made. Im looking to do this with my new motor. Are you running an extternal oil cooler too?
id suggest doing mccc treatment (mopar combustion chamber cleaner) perhaps alot of carbon is built up and getting burnt out with the extra moisture running through your engine on top of denser air due to the weather. If it only does it once its been sitting i'd almost be positive its that extra...
what condition are your motor mounts in? and what about cv joints? As for the loud exaust why on earth did u put a 2.5" piping in that'll rob so much torque and give maybe 10hp to compensate for the -30+ tq.
search for mccc treatment ( mopar combustion chamber cleaner ) try that, it WILL HELP A LOT. Also replace the pcv valve. get a new air filter. change your fuel filter while your at it. Going broke lol.... what dsmer' isn't
