Alright, so I got bored and ordered new hatch lift support arms. Installed them today, was quick and easy. Very last second post, I ship out tomorrow lol. I also ordered a new rubber brake pedal pad, but it wont be here for another week. The old supports had a little bit of rust, but...
I've owned this car for about a year now. Ever since I was a kid, I always thought the 2G Eclipse was cool as hell and it was a sort of dream car for me. Since I was born my parents had kept a little bit of money in a savings account for when I turned 18, to use for college, a car, or whatever...
That's a lot of Civics! lol Love this build thread. You know I never really liked the 2ga, but for some reason seeing those pics of yours next to your 2gb made me love it. Maybe it's the clean white.
I see two 2g's driving around where I live, one is a little rough. Unfortunately mine isn't one of them lol. Pretty sure I spun a bearing, but I don't have the space or money to fix it at the moment.

That's a good idea. It's also easy for me to say I'm going to buy the new block now, it'll be a different feeling when I actually have the money in my hand lol. I'll have to go check the timing belt later. By the way, I noticed yesterday that the little panel on the bottom of the door (exterior)...
Yea I was thinking it might not be that bad, but I don't have space or tools to pull the engine right now. I was thinking of maybe getting a whole new remanufactured block while they're available just to prevent any future problems that might happen. We'll see though. As I said I'm new to cars...
Thanks! Your car looks pretty awesome, I like those rims. What were the rims on those first two pictures? How much restoration did you have to do with yours? The interior was pretty disgusting in mine, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years. I washed it all out and it's pretty nice now...
