    97 GST Curbfighter

Alright, so I got bored and ordered new hatch lift support arms. Installed them today, was quick and easy. Very last second post, I ship out tomorrow lol. I also ordered a new rubber brake pedal pad, but it wont be here for another week. The old supports had a little bit of rust, but...

    For Travis

That's a touching story. You stay in touch with the parents at all? Hope the build goes well, can't wait to see it back on the track!

    Dsmdolneys 2g street car

Love that valve cover. The white really pops. Not sure what I'm going to do with mine yet.

I've owned this car for about a year now. Ever since I was a kid, I always thought the 2G Eclipse was cool as hell and it was a sort of dream car for me. Since I was born my parents had kept a little bit of money in a savings account for when I turned 18, to use for college, a car, or whatever...

    1998 Gst restoration

That's a lot of Civics! lol Love this build thread. You know I never really liked the 2ga, but for some reason seeing those pics of yours next to your 2gb made me love it. Maybe it's the clean white.

    Hello,99 eclipse 420a rebuild.

I see two 2g's driving around where I live, one is a little rough. Unfortunately mine isn't one of them lol. Pretty sure I spun a bearing, but I don't have the space or money to fix it at the moment.

    Hello,99 eclipse 420a rebuild.

That was a nice payout when it got totalled! Look forward to seeing you rebuild it, you should start a build thread.

2G What do you think so far?!

Yep that's the plan. I saw earlier that you're navy aviation, I'm joining the army doing aviation. I know what I'm doing with my enlistment bonus lol. Looking forward to them updated engine pics too ;).

Cool, thanks for the help and advice. I've always wanted to go to the junkyard lol.

    Hello! New Member

Would it be considered part of the side skirt? I'm talking about the separate panel on the bottom of the door, above the side skirt. Although it's probably sealed with silicone too. I couldn't take a good picture, so here's one I found online just to show what I mean.

    Hello! New Member

That's a good idea. It's also easy for me to say I'm going to buy the new block now, it'll be a different feeling when I actually have the money in my hand lol. I'll have to go check the timing belt later. By the way, I noticed yesterday that the little panel on the bottom of the door (exterior)...

    Hello! New Member

Yea I was thinking it might not be that bad, but I don't have space or tools to pull the engine right now. I was thinking of maybe getting a whole new remanufactured block while they're available just to prevent any future problems that might happen. We'll see though. As I said I'm new to cars...

Thanks! Your car looks pretty awesome, I like those rims. What were the rims on those first two pictures? How much restoration did you have to do with yours? The interior was pretty disgusting in mine, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years. I washed it all out and it's pretty nice now...
