Youv'e really got to hold both and shoot both.
Sigs are hammer guns and Glocks are striker fired. The triggers will feel very different. Also, the biggest difffernce between Sig and Glock will be hight of bore over the web of your hand. The sig has alot more hieght over your hand which will...
1992 tsi awd, H/G and belt change only 1500mi ago, Mitsubishi & parts dinosaur belts.
Mobile 1 synthetic oil/filter and some Lucas oil stabilizer.Driving home from the mall today & glanced down while waiting @ stop light. Zero oil pressure but no engine lights or oil lights. Engine temp...
New development - first post reflected to show this:I noticed the "short" only happened when I connected the terminal wire with the 3 fuses on it. I pulled each fuse indivually to see which circuit the short was in. When I pulled the MPI fuse the dash lights turned off and the car seemed...
I checked the coil resistances and all relays appear to operational. After having it run without the keys in the ignition... I will check the ignition key inside the steering column.
I doubt this is it because it was only parked for about a week and I've NEVER had an ignition key problem...
So a new development... I started her up to see if I could diagnos this while running.
Revs and sounds nice, IMO. When I shut the car off it kept idling. Too bad I dont have a turbo timer. So, assuming it was running off battery I went around and pulled the negative terminal.
Well at least...
I pulled the battery out to see if I missed any wires running to the battery. No luck.
For the record, there is supposed to be 2 things going to the negative (groung, harness) and 3 things going to the positive side?I checked the fuses under the hood and under the dash. They all looked fine...
It was working just fine a week ago when I pulled the head. Haven't used it since then and it's never given me trouble before.
I'm not sure it's the key cylinder. We never even touched the interior or steering column during the fix.
Dash lights all lit up and interior power... with keys OUT of ignition. So I recently changed my head gasket and when I got everything back together, I plug the battery terminals up and instantly hear things start clicking to life. Odd.
I walk around and look into the interior of the car...
If the guy really has jerked you around that much, let him take you to claims court. Hell, threaten to take HIM to claims court.
His practices and pricing will be under scrutiny. If I were him and had those business practices, I would not want to go to court.
Think of it this way - If he can...
Wait, some guy charged you $400 to replace some spark plugs and you went back at a later date for more work? And then after that wallet raping, he jerked you around again on the GTP... and then you took a DSM to him, letting it sit around almost 2 weeks longer than they promised?!? I'm sorry...
Yes, I know they'll do lights, cat/muffler visual, and idle sniff testing. I wonder if they're allowed to look under the hood?
I know the cat helps emissions a TON and they do look for it so I'll have that installed for the test.
But seriously, how much can something like a charcoal can, egr, or...
I recently found out that that the complete mess of vacuum stuff cluttering up my engine bay is mostly emissions stuff.
Which means that I'd like to remove it so I can avoid future boost/vacuum leaks and clean up the engine bay a little bit.
I know some lines are still required but I'd like...
I know if the cam sprokets are out of time I can wreck my valves/pistons... but what bout the balance shafts?
If the balance shafts are out of phase, can I hurt my engine? Or will just get crazy vibration/noise?
Yeah, i ended up getting it off. Got oil everywhere, as I was not in the position to deal with oil.
I got the breaker bar and put a 1/2 socket on it, got under the car, and did a bench press on the breaker bar.
So now the filter wont come off. I stripped the flats on the filter with my...
