Ahh ok.... misunderstanding... I thought you meant shaft as a whole shaft assembly (which includes the turbine wheel). :pyea, the shafts will be the same, only different wheel diameters...actually,since you mentioned it... I'm interested to see what your measurements of the exducer and...
aaaaaah, well see that might be it.. Maybe the fact that the turbi was a garret t3/t4 was the reason it wouldn't fit...?I emailed doug at the dyno power website (the first picture), and he said that the manifold he uses in his kit is the 1G turbo manifold and heatshield (2g or evo by request...
That reminds me of a story...My rich grandma used to let me take her M3 down to the carwash on saturdays, wash it, and drive it around on saturday nights. I never raced it because it wasn't my car, but I'd always load up some friends and go cruising. Well, I was about to head home, and I was...
so my turbo, which had alot of miles at the time, just magically started pouring oil and water out the compressor the same moment I put the non vented catch can in?
You bet your ass high oil pressure can blow out old/wornout seals in a turbo..Please, dude.. I don't know what...
are you sure? I did some poking around on the internet and I found what looks to be a 4g63 turbo manifold and 16G on a 3g..Engine Picture 1 (4g63 turbo manifold)
Turbo and Manifold Pic*edit* I'm looking for someone who has attempted this, or has done this..
Does your car overheat easily? Keep an eye on your coolant level.I'm putting my money on the excessive crankcase pressure blowing your turbo seals. The keywords you gave were "only when boosting". I did the same thing once (forgot to drill a vent hole in my home made catch can), and it blew...
With new valves, yes, but the lifters can only compensate for so much. There is a threshold with which the valve stem installed height should be, and if you've ever had your valve face ground or valve seat cut, your valve stem installed height will definately need to be changed. Too much height...
well, she lives in an apartment and it's simply impractical to tear her manifold off too see if this one fits.. just wondering if anyone else has done such a thing.
I have a friend with a 2001 eclipse GS with the 4g64 sohc. We got to talking, and I told her that I have an extra 1G turbo manifold laying around. Will It fit on her car?
This is a great post with plenty of information and pictures. Hopefully it will eliminate all questions about HIDs on DSM's, and threads such as This one, specifically post #20 and #23
That's a nice looking second gen.. looks like you had alot of money into it... what kind of motor setup?SCCA is good if you like driving around cones in parking lots at 35 mph. More intense racing is on road courses such as hallett, oak hill, and motorsport ranch. I'm partial to road racing...
