Like I said it was my first major tear down, and since I just started working on cars I'm still learning. I did everything the VFAQ told me to do on point, and all the other advice on my other thread that I linked earlier. I had stiff tension the day after I did the timing job, and was able to...
I'll pull the timing belt cover as soon as I can a chance. It'll most likely be on Saturday, check out the timing belt tensioner, and see if I can't get the grenade pin to slide in/out.Here's my thread that I created when I did my timing belt. It's rather lengthy, but I described what I did...
I'm pretty much pushing down as hard as I can in the pic. When I checked the tension in the summer it was like 15 minutes after I tensioned it according to the vfaq, and I rechecked it hours later, and the following morning after, and it was the same. I wasn't able to really measure how much the...
So basically as the title states I had my first major tear down during the last past summer due to my head gasket going. At that point I went ahead, and took care of all the 60k maintenance from the timing belt to water pump, etc. Just thought I'd post up a couple pics, and get your guys opinion...
Melbowski- What RPM range do you start seeing knock at?Also this may help out, and if not it's still a worthwhile read

I used a quite a bit of WD-40/PB over the night. I am hoping if I keep hitting it daily with that combo that by the time I get a free moment it will come off. I tried have a friend hold it in place, and I've been doing the squeezing them together method too but the 14mm keeps slipping and I am...
As already stated if you don't mind doing a little bit of work a 14b/16g would be an upgrade from the t-25, but won't directly bolt on. If you really want a true bolt on turbo that's an upgrade then there's the t-28 as TSImuchforyou suggested as well.
@White_knight- Thanks for the advice/tip! I guess I'll have to try messing with it again on another day. I wonder if a P.O. rounded off the flare nut on the bottom because my 14mm flare wrench just kept slipping off. At least it wasn't all for nothing because I deleted the charcoal canister.
@Bud92gsx- I'd ask you, but it wasn't a triple dog dare LOLAnyways, I mixed a couple gallons of E-85 in with 93 octane a few times so that's why I'm thinking maybe my fuel filter as well because of the infamous "E-85 goo" Again I could be totally wrong as I am just learning but it's the only...
It's the only thing left I can think of because literally all my other maintenance is up to date. Unless its my rough tune using the Evo ECU but my fuel trims are good, and my wideband is reading 14.7 at idle and doesn't go past 11.5 at WOT. I just started working on cars, so maybe it isn't like...
Well thankfully I found the top banjo bolt. I'm just having no luck with the bottom. I've hit it with PB all day long and it seems like the 14mm flare is just rounding over. Anyone else have some tips? Does the vice grips apply for the top or bottom? And which one are you guys taking off first...
I'm using a 14mm fuel wrench with a 19mm wrench to hold the filter in place, and I still cant get it to bite. It seems like the 14mm is slipping off. I've been PB'ing it all day, and still no luck. I believe that this is causing my horrible gas mileage, and it's really getting to me right now...
I've been looking into this as well. I have the SRS catback already, and I am looking for a downpipe too. I was hoping someone can chime in as to if the Megan Racing or Punishment downpipe both bolt up properly without having to cut, and re-weld the flanges.
