Helical or Straight cut oil gears?

The helical ones are a revised set of gears. They have more surface area on them, allowing for more oil to be flowed at the same rpm than the straight cut gears. I know in my 90 GST it had straight cut, and my 95 GST had the helical ones. In the 95 I was pushing more power than the 90 and I had...

alright...found out i was missing a exhaust manifold bolt and oil was leeking out and burning on the manifold. i was like WTF where is all this oil coming from?? so i pulled the plugs because it was skipping at high rpm and when i pulled #1 plug wire i saw the hole was filled with oil. should i trade my 95 eclipse gst for a 95 acura integra GSR

I don't know where all of you guys are getting that DSM's are unreliable. I drive mine 86 miles a day to work and back, 6 days a week, and I have never been stranded. The only maintainence I have done was 4 new tires and a rear wheel bearing in the last 3 months, besides changing the oil. Take...

White 2g **Sign In** All white 95-99 DSMs.

Haha, yea I know. It came that way when I bought it. Guy I bought it off of put on Eibach lowering springs, 2" drop, but kept the stock shocks. Rides rougher than hell. So 2 days after I bought the car I bought a complete set of Tokico springs/shocks that will bring it up 1". I just don't have...

White 2g **Sign In** All white 95-99 DSMs.

Car was painted 2 weeks ago. 2 coats of base, 3 coats of clear. I wish I had a better camera, it looks just like glass. Wheels are off a 3G Eclipse, and I have a set of Tokico Illuminas shocks/springs waiting to go on. Not too bad for a $1000 car.

    14b jpipe bolts..

There is a gasket, but I've heard of people using silicone gasket maker and having no trouble with them. If you go with the gasket maker, make sure each area is grease free, or it will not seal. Use brake cleaner on both the compressor housing and J-Pipe to clean it and torque the bolts. Then in...

    14b jpipe bolts..

Bolts- 10mm head. I opted for the stainless hex head screws. Return line- No mod's needed. Just install a new gasket to the oil pan and bolt it on.

Wonder where they got that from..... Honda has been doing it for years, reducing weight and added cooling to the sleeve. Bad thing is increased cylinder pressure really screws with these, and makes them crack. Extensive machining is needed to keep these blocks together, or you could just pick...

    1GA Front Bumper Cover

Keystone has them, but they are expensive. It would have cost over $400 to have it shipped for a new one, and I picked up a really good shell for $250. Look for a used one, they are out there.

    Recieved Job Offer, Need Opinions....

Diavik is about 120 miles north of Yellowknife. Only way in there is by plane, and they deliver the huge equipment on the ice roads in the winter. So yeah, its a ways up there. As far as pay, they pay for all my housing, food, and air flights to and from home. So basically I show up and get...

Need help replacing wheel hub assembly... can anyone help me out?

Pretty much straight forward. There are 3 ears on the wheel hub assembly, take out those three, whack the old bearing assembly with a hammer and it should pop out. Put in the new one, put the 3 bolts back in, then reattach the rotor and caliper and put on your wheel and you are done. Should take...

SAFC won't read RPM's after install

Yes I have a logger, using pocketlogger software. It is reading from the logger but not on the safc.As far as the MAFT setup, its all dialed to zero, and tuning with the safc. I used the same rpm wire as the maft, soldered into pin 58 on the ecu. I can get a voltage reading, buts its...
