Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have actually checked the the switch a while ago and it checks out. I will have to see if the wires have a short or something. Car is on hold for a while. Unfortunately my oil pump seized and took out my timing belt christmas eve. Now I have to see if...

    2g throttle body elbow aluminum?

Hello everyone. I am ordering myself the sd bundle kit from ecmlink today, from what I have read it's best to install the iat at the throttle body elbow. The kit comes with the bung needed to install the iat. This might sound like a stupid question, but I just need to make sure lol. The 2g...

    Idle switch issue, please help...

Hello everyone. I am trying to get my injectors dialed in via dsmlink v3. IdleSW value in link with throttle closed should be 1- and open 0-. But as soon as I start the car and it's idleing value goes to 0- with the throttle closed and stays there whether throttle is closed or open. I've...

    Name this wire.

So I got my car all put together but I found this.I have no idea what it is. It is located right after my flex on my downpipe. Can anyone tell me if it is suppose to be hooked up to something. I'm assuming it's a ground since the other end is on a bolt on the bottom of the car next to...

When it rains it pours!!! Found another surprise!

I know it looks like the crack is by a mounting bolt. Actually luckily that bolt hole you see is for mounting the clutch release cylinder, not an actual tranny mounting bolt. I just hope that area doesnt generate enough pressure due to the clutch release cylinder during operation to worry...

When it rains it pours!!! Found another surprise!

So I finally got my motor in the car after years of being down. And to my surprise I found this crack on my tranny. It is right below the clutch release cylinder assembly. It's the only crack I found, its not by any mounting bolts of the tranny to the block however since it is right by the...

Can I get a break!!! Look what I found!

After getting some sleep, I decided not proceed at this point. I have too much time and money on this build to risk it or make more work for myself. Still sucks!! I'm ordering the parts I need this morning from the stealership. Although I still would like to install the motor in the car but...

Can I get a break!!! Look what I found!

I didnt even notice that crack on the seal! :banghead: It's dark in my garage. How about the rear main housing? The lip is chipped, you can actually see where the seal meets the housing inside. I dont mind taking the tranny out again, I just need this car running before it gets too cold. Its...

    Charcoal canister...

I need a new charcoal canister as one of the nipples on it broke off. I was wondering if it matters whether it is off of a turbo, non turbo, 2.0 liter or 1.8 liter. I will be heading off to the junk yard in the morning and I was wondering what I can pick up that will work. Thanks.

Can I get a break!!! Look what I found!

So I am finally ready to drop my motor in and when I started to mount my flywheel I found this on my rear main housing...I am assuming this will cause my rear main to leak, or cause any other issues? Do you guys think it will leak and or give me other issues? I dont think I should proceed...
