Viva, you seem to be under the impression the stock gauge actually means anything. It tells you the following: you're at vacuum/you're not. That's it.Trust your AM boost gauge.
The majority of the DSM's I see are turbo. I spent a lot of time and money getting mine to sound good. It had a very low rumble and zero raspy-wheed-whackerness to it. You are right, a turbo would make it sound a lot better.
Peepers.. I have a set of AWD rear knuckles. All the brake parts are there, just on of the shields is cut to fit a bigger rotor on there and the cables are cut. PM me if you are interested
ceedawg: You are not a day late, dollar.. I am aware I could buy the BAER track kit. I wanted to do something different, and I have a few options that the BAER kit can't give.gixrman: I have the Brembo's from an EVO for the rear, I just have not put them on yet. The fronts don't come...
Yeah, I had a Cobra rotor in the beginning. It doesn't have the offset that the HD does; which enables me to use the OEM Talon rim.If you measure the offset, overall dia, hub dia, and thickness of your rotor, I might be able to find you another option. It is a wonderful feeling only...
BAER uses PBR calipers which these are. These are essentially 2 generations up from what they use in their track kit. They are made from powdered metal with increased ribbing for a more sturdy design. I went with the OEM pad for the moment. You would be surprised as to what rotor that...
Details? Sure!I bought all new GM parts, that raises the price quite a bit. I am sure you can get the calipers, hardware and abutment (caliper cage) for peanuts from a GM board.. they want the C6 brakes now. In total I used 1.5 custom parts, the rest can be bought. I say .5 because I had...
Can you find a shop to tack a rod around the lip? You could also JB weld a piece of metal coat hanger on about a 1/4 inch in on the pipe. Favor the epoxy to the end of the pipe side, and put the T-clamp after the "lip" you don't want it working it's way through the coupling. I hope you are...
After a little planning and a few prototypes, they are finally on! Strangely I did run into the weird stepped hub dilemma. I know it's a reman hub, but so is the other one. That did stop me dead in my tracks, no wonder the big boys avoid it like the plague. :DI have not had the chance to...
Yes, the only parts you must replace are the axles. I doubt the calipers will be expensive, especially if you have the cores. As far as the back goes, it's all pretty much the same. The knuckle is different (duh) and the sway bar. The brakes, control arm's, and such are all the same. The...
That method does not work all the time.If you have no stickers or tag, the only way to tell for sure is to pop the diff cover off. Even if you do have one, it could just be fried. I have seen a few diff's for sale. I suggest you physicly check since you will need the drivers? side axle...
