Take it off, find some way to hold it in the correct postion and heat it with a heat gun from behind, as to not heat the paint to much. should be able to mold it where ya want.

the last tranny i shipped i used a large box,with 4 full flaps top and bottum. we get them where i work, fairly small but heavy items are shipped to us in them and are incased in a large block of exspanding foam.This worked well, and best of all the shipping material only added 10 pounds...

Did you manage to get the bolt out? just a qwick tip, Dewalt colbalt steel bits will do the job, I have drilled out several hardened bolts with them.

power increases in an engine with some miles on it, are more related to the worn bearings in the engine making it easyer to spin.

havnt had any luck finding one in 3" i'd rather have something completly gutted also,, i think ill probably end up making my own, get a section of 3 inch pipe and cut the factory cat inlet and outlet large enough to fit the 3 inch through and weld it in. long as it looks like a cat lol

wow that is realy cheap! looks like the perfect size too,, i have a tubular s.s. 02 with a id outlet of 2.5 and i picked up a busher 3 inch stanless cat back cheap too. just need to figure something out with the cat to match the 3 inch lol,, i have to keep a cat due to local inspection laws...
