YESSSSSS. The yellow sensor thing just plugs into that black cover by the bcs. I can't remember what it is but I know exactly what you are talking about and that is where it goes. Mine used to fall out all the time I had to throw some electric tape on it to keep it in.

It just kind of pops out, using something for leverage is a good idea. There is a ring on the end that holds it in and you will feel it pop, once you get the first one it'll be easy.
Yes it's normal on the 4g63, do a search on lifter tick and you'll find tons of info. If you want to fix it you need the new revised lifters, look around a lot of the vendors on the site sell them.
