Ironically enough my first car was a black 1990 Mistubishi Eclipse GSX. The year was 1996, and I was 16 years old. I bought the car for 5k, put 5k in repairs, then sold for 5k. Ha! I miss that car.

I would keep the car as stock looking as possible, but that's just me. Not a big fan of unnecessary body kits and lights. As far as exhaust and intake, they are right. The ebay intake with a k&n filter works great! If you go with a cold air intake just make sure you have a water by-pass valve...

I've been running ebay header and down pipe on my rs for about 2 years now with no problems. When you get the header bolted to the down pipe, it is quite snug, and you may have to force it through a bit. Mine doesn't leak under the hood at all. If this is your dd then I recommend leaving the cat...

My 96 RS did the exact same thing. It would die while driving. It was a bad camshaft positioning sensor. Also the crankshaft sensor can cause the car to stall. Good Luck! :D
