Wiring fun, you sir are a glutton for punishment lol. Yeah it's not bad taking your time, marking and labeling. But I don't want to screw it up so if when I get the motor I can afford it, I may just go with the aem stand alone. Seems like a good fit for an engine conversion.
Silent1jt, from my experience when a water pump is bad and leaking it will generally be worse after the car is shut down.... Maybe move the car, run it for a while, check for leaks while running, shut it down and see if it gets worse.
Just to add in on that coolant mix, water does work better. But only if it's distilled, the contaminants in the water from your faucet lower the boiling point.
Check for oil residue or any dampness from the boot on the plug wires down to the plug. Sometimes residue can cause the electricity to arc from the wire to the head (yes through the insulation) I had this problem and was stumped. Sometimes if this is happening you can see small things on the...
Sounds to me like you shouldnt get ahead of yourself till you get that starter off and checked out. All I read was you checked the cables. Have you got that starter looked at yet?
