Man I passed you one day in Spencer!!!! Right there at the stoplight in front of McDonalds on the edge of town, we kind of pointed and waived at each other. I had wondered if when I saw you if you were on the forums!
I'm located in southern Indiana but I wasn't sure if anyone knew of a good shop or personal mechanic who has experience with DSM's and ECMlink in the Indianapolis/indiana area?
Thanks everyone for the advice, I've definitely got a lot of work/learning ahead of me. I really appreciate your input and will attempt to get a thorough understanding of the ECM link software and probably picking the brains of my more mechanical inclined friends.
I have an AEM wideband, and it along with the ECMlink was installed by the PO or Brian Terhune who did a lot of work on the car. My datalog will allow me to capture and display the AFR estimate, but im not sure if that is entirely accurate.
Got ya, I'll have to order those.I actually do have a wide band, but it must not be feeding data into ECMlink. I'm not really sure how to do that, either. I'll search a little bit and see what I can find.
Ok, well there's something I can tweak. The ones I got from the part store were gapped at .32, I'm assuming I got the right plugs since I had them run the info on my car and pull up a list of replacement plugs?
Nvm, I got the logs to upload. The first log is small driving around a few city blocks slowly when the car is sort of bogging down or having a hard time getting going. The second log is me, driving home and pushing the car to get it to reproduce the issue. I really wasn't sure what data I needed...
Spark Plug gap is .32 just checked them all when I installed new ones.I 'm sorry, I left that out. I have a walboro 250 and I believe it is rewired. Is there any good way to upload an ECMlink file to the forums?
I've looked into it, and done lots of homework but still can't really find anything that covers exactly what seems to be going on in my car. It's a 96 gst with fmic, 16g turbo, 550cc injectors, 1g BOV, ECM link V3, and a full 3" exhaust. I had recently had some troubles with idling in the...
Thanks everyone for the input, I recently had one of the ball joints replaced on the front right. I'll have to pull the wheels off and look into it more in depth. I'll keep you posted to see how it goe. Thanks again!
Ok, here's the scoop. Over the last week my car has developed this terrible noise when turning the wheel or you can hear it slightly going over bumps or railroad tracks. Tonight I finally had the chance to get under the car and do some looking into the issue, I picked up some silicone lubricant...
Thanks everybody, and I can give a bit of an update on the longevity of the wrap. It's been on for about 4 months and has seen temperatures near 0 as well as 80 degree weather and it has held up completely fine on both the spoiler and hood.
Lol thanks! I can agree, but for the money it was hard to beat. I've been looking for a local used carbon fiber hood that still has a good finish. So if anyone in IN knows of one let me know!
