Thanks everyone for the help, I have started to check and clean ground connections, haven’t got around to the fuel filter and the ignition switch yet.Do these burn marks indicate a short or are they just normal wear and tear?

I don’t think a short because the stopping dead and restarting happens not often but enough to make it unsafe to driveThank you for the reply and I will still check for burn marks and any signs of a short.
