Try checking the fuse box for any burned fuse. I had a similar issue, replacing them fixed the problem. The main cause was the alternator fuse, in total I had 5 burned fuses. Hope this helps.

Based on what I'm reading here, seems like most of you guys are using 10W-30. I'm currently using Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 on my '98 Eclipse GS. I'll try 10W-30 with the next oil change.
