It is not likely that the mis aligned head would cause you to spin a bearing. I guess potentially the oil port from the head to the block was partially blocked off causing a higher then normal oil pressure which could help bearing fail. Dont really think that is reasonable chance to happen.

I dont know if it is unpopular opinion but you will be fine with an aftermarket pump. Just watch your oil pressure if your worried about it.

Looks like a 98+ split thrust to me.

Also to consider is that if you are using a 2g head with a 1g block, I dont think the CAS will swap. So unless you also changed the front cover/CAS set up, that is likely your issue. I think your ignition is inverted at best, potentially a lot more issues than that at worse. Also obviously DSMPT...

Its worn beyond use in my opinion. It is likely showing signs of not fighting tightly. It ingested something, probably parts of you bearing. I dont think you should re use it.Also I could be wrong here, but that fact that at least half of your oil opening were blocked off leads me to believe...

Oh for sure I don't assume everyone is OCD as I am. I definitely don't want to make it seem un achievable. The more time you take now though, the better you will sleep for the next 1000 miles you drive ;) At the very minimum I would clean everything that oil touches at least once super well...
