Did it go into where that white pipe is on the assembly? As long as it doesnt interfere with any of the inlet outlet pipes....it shouldnt affect anything.
I know this has been touched only a few times, but I figured I would share the sump that I made for my 1990 stock fuel tank.I first made a cardboard mock up of the piece I wanted to make just to get some ideas of the angles and measurements.I then took some 16 ga mild cold rolled...
i removed the baffle and re-welded the aluminum one on that a member sells on here. Instead of putting the ports up on the edge of the valve cover, i put them right where the valve cover steps down.
Thanks for the great information on the inner workings of the venting system. Pictures especially help to materialize the words into images. :thumb:. In regards to the baffle and venting. If you plug up the stock vent holes (one with pcv and other that goes to turbo intake hose), would it matter...
Just a few more updated pictures. Been slow going but getting there. The belt that jay racing sent me apparently is for the stock harmonic balancer pulley and not a fluidampr, so I need to pick up something that's a few inches longer. Also the bolt for the mount (lower a/c outboard side), is a...
Just had a block done by English Racing. No issues here and 100% satisfied! What kind of price range are you looking at for an assembly and longblock, shortblock.....ect? Good place to start and then go from there. I would personally trust someone who has one of the fastest DSM's out there and...
Just a few more updates. Finally getting the rest of the longblock put together. Machined out the holes on the valve cover as well for the 8an boss fittings so I can weld them in tomorrow.Coming down to the last few weeks before I get to turn this beast over and get it tuned.
I would give English Racing a call tomorrow and ask them if they can. It would be a quality piece, possibly a bit more pricey than your joe schmoe muffler shop, but the price is worth the quality.
Are they still using the 13T from the wrx and building the manifolds to support it? That was the big thing when I owned a '92 TT. Also the years that DR turbos got big.
This helped me out a lot on identification of plugs. The relay would be A-55 (defrost relay).

Other crappy part is how everyone is blowing the new blocks way out of proportion with the "ringland failure" issue. That being said, if you do look at an STi, steer clear from the 2008-2009 years. I am putting about 350 to the wheels reliably and only put around 2500 into it....which include 3"...
