The nose on the housing that the tob rides on can become seriously worn and the tob may end up sitting sloppy on it. This is an issue with fwd cars but AWD trannys have the nose made out of SS and not such a problem as far as I know.

You definitely watched the wrong video, that nut you were cranking on was brazed on. If your not taking tin snips to the body then you’re doing it wrong!

I just got a set from 1aauto. They measured about 1/8 inch different. But they bolted right up.

My Dorman drivers side has lasted 7 years now, I hope it breaks cuz I have an oem one ready to go and the cheap one looks a little warped.

Dorman has them for something like $9, they didn’t look perfectly straight to me though. You can still get oem for around $90.
