I'm so glad there will still be people like you who keep their DSM as new as the day they bought them from the showroom floor. You are one of very few people I know who still own their original DSM from the dealership and take pride and love what they have. We all have our favorite pet peeves...
Hello my friends. I never thought I would ever see the day myself. For the ones that know me the most, I had been very active with the DSM scene since 1997, and am the original owner of Kylie, which is the one listed on eBay. I recently went through a divorce with my wife, who some of you may...
Glad there are still people on forums. I haven't been here in forever myself. I highly doubt I'm coming back since I would be 51 years old if I came back 12 years later. The Spyder is sold to a great guy in Europe and am just waiting on the other to sell. So sad as I've always had the love...
Merry Christmas to my fellow DSM enthusiasts. This is the last year, I'll have my 4G63's as I am moving forward to a different platform, after 17 solid years of playing in the DSM game. Hope you all have an awesome day opening gifts for all your rides.
For some reason, you bringing attention that you've never had a lowered car before and being concerned on fixing the damage that is already on it, gives me a different perspective. Should you get used to driving it that low before repairing the damage and hitting something similar to the...
You could always have the foglight holes and side markers shaved like I did when I bought a new bumper. I bought the OEM one surprisingly from SATAN, but felt $125 a fantastic deal.
I believe Lowe's Home Improvement has an actual automotive section where you can find hard to find clips, and crap that you just can't find anywhere. Try there.
But the Z owners don't have back seats so where would the hard cover mount to? Interesting, but I'm sure can be done, given you don't want anyone sitting in the back seats at the same time. Our factory boot matches our interior by the way.
Well, if you're like most DSMr's, making the car go fast will be neverending, as things break and the urge to do more will always be there. Once you paint, you should be good for the next 7-8 years, given you get a quality paint job. Not too many keep their cars that long, so if you put off...
Ah, the window tint thread. These threads are always subjective, and at times like in your case, I would be more worried about the legalities of it in your area. It truly is a personal preference. Mine has 5% on every window, and the entire front windshield has been 35% for years. I never...
Have you ever considered painting/wrapping the roof lines black, and getting the raised Talon Spoiler in black as well? It gives a nice black top look and silhouette to it. It's been done a bunch of times, so I thought I'd add that to the mix of options you are thinking about.
Looks like the going rate on eGay is $37 including shipping. Here's one I found for you...http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-MITSUBISHI-ECLIPSE-REAR-CENTER-REFLECTOR-GARNISH-ASSEMBLY-/231253627664?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AEclipse&hash=item35d7ca5310&vxp=mtrNot sure how...
This thread totally reminded me of my friend not only doing the beer tap for a shift knob, but he also did it for the windshield wiper blades and a small version on the turn signals. It was hilarious, because every time he hit a massive bump, the wipers would go off to full speed. Good luck...
I know you mentioned you didn't want to "make it an Eclipse," but why not just buy the center section, and repaint/wrap/vinyl that to whatever you wish it to look like. At least it would fill in the gap you're trying to figure out, and probably be least costly.
