I have read everything i could on my problem. I can't figure it out.I just got my ecu back from ECMTuning today. They said they bench tested it and even put it in a shop car and it started several times.Ok i dont have a check engine light, but it passes the bulb test. I can start the car by...
If you have had your stock flywheel turned or cut, you have to shim the pivot ball the same amount of material that was taken off. 1 washer is usually good to make it work again.
The last car i had that the steering would pull to the right on ecceleration it was the right lower control arm bushing . The talon had the fast shaking wheel on acceleration, and it was a bad wheel bearing front drivers side. Found that out by the slight whine / wheel speed noise that changed...
How many miles did you put on the 4 puck before you pulled it ? How many launches? I have ACT 2600 with a stock disk and flywheel. I think a spring is popped. It disengages fine, then when i get to where im going it stops disengaging. Then im diving home with no clutch. I am thinking about...
Another quick and easy thing to rule out for the knock is a split crank pulley(harmonic balancer).
This caused me knock from idle on up.
I found it by standing over the drivers side fender and looking straight down at it while popping the throttle. Very bad vibration for the knock sensor to read.
I picked one up about 2 months ago. Now i'm taking it off because it's to damn loud for a daily driver . It sounds like a 2" exhaust leak under boost. I want to hear the turbo spool again.
I guess if i had boost creep maybe it would be worth it.
Another thing to check is the crank pulley. They split pretty often and make a lot of racket . Stand over the drivers side fender and look down at it. Then pop the gas and see if it wobbles if it doesn't then then that's one more thing to rule out.
It does work. But will grind first and fifth half the time. Trust me it can be driven like this but it's wrong to kill your trans over cables. I grabbed some 91 cables to go with my 91 tranny and it shifts good now. I guess my 91 had 90 cables in it, when puchased. There is a 1/2"...
