    This is a question for all 1g owners that installed a boost gauge before a boost controller. Also, please note if you pulled the restrictor out of the boost solenoid. I've heard so many different answers, and I'm interested to see how much variation there really is.

    Thanks for the responses guys. Sorry if there was any confusion. Yes, I've already tested the coils and one of them is bad. I've already had to swap the ISC for a new one, which has now gone bad. Instead of buying yet another one, I'm going to put my old one and the newer one together...

    ^^^Yeah, a leaky slave or master will only cause the clutch to engage closer to the floor, not further away.

    Sorry if this is threadjacking, but this thread seems pretty much over. Where can you get inner tie-rods from? All I've ever seen for sale is the outers...Thanks!

    I've heard from a bunch of people that autometer gauges are inaccurate. Got any other inexpensive recommendations?

    That was just a guess. It could be lean or rich, but one thing's for sure, it's not right =)

    I wouldn't drive that car until getting an AFC and a logger, your A/F ratio won't be right... you're probably running a bit lean at all RPMs. That's a recipe for a new engine.

  12. Huge drivetrain problem

    Center differential is fried. Put it on a lift or 4 jackstands and start it up to be sure that only the rear wheels move.
  13. Vacuum at 30.. is that normal?

    Having 30in vacuum would probably be a good thing, although its pretty much impossible. See if you can borrow a different guage to test the one you have.
  14. Can low compression cause this?

    No- low compression won't cause idle surge or bucking. However, a very large boost leak can. Your compression isn't that bad, really.
