Since your are the fortunate owner of a DSM (Daily Service & Maintenance), you should probably get used to doing the work yourself. If you intend on keeping the car for any amount of time, you should look forward to putting a great deal of work into the car. If not I would advise selling it!

The capacitors on the ecu tend to leak so take off the cover and look at what kind of shape they are in. I was driving my car fine one night and the next day it was running really bad because my ecu started to go out.

You might also want to pull the ecu out and see if there is any leak from the capacitors. I left my dsm sit for a few months and the ecu went bad.

Well when I replaced my struts and springs I had to get new bump stops from the dealership and I had to cut some length off of them so my car would ride low and good. Ask your mechanic if that will have an affect on the noise.
