Ok the car is a 93 Laser Awd EvoIII 16g turbo/maifold/O2 housing, and suportting mods. The transmission has a 3500 stall converter, and a IPT boost controler. The problems started as it no going in to any gear it would just free rev- Change fluid and filter ran fine for about 3 months. Now it...
I've been lucky and have only had to get my Talon towed twice. The first time was my fault, I tried to limp her 132 miles to my parents house to swap the engine out due to the crank walking and a very light rod knock at ideal. I made it about 20 miles before I had to shut her down due the rod...
I've never used the auto tensioner tool. I just unbolt it and use a 5" "c" clamp and a allen key, but you should replace the auto tensioner every time. Just mace sure you ziptie or put the clips on the cam gears.
The is to swap a 6 bolt short block in mid April. I just don't know how to read the bearing. Thanks for the help. I was going to run low boost to take as much load off the bearings as possible to help make is last until I can get the car into the shop.
Well I'm pretty sure I spun a bearing two weeks ago on the way home from workafter I spun the tires in 3rd (black ice/oil) and the engine free reved for a second. I developed a nasty knock when I went to drive the car that night. I was a very faint knock at idle, but anything over 2500 wasn't...
Ok this is misinformation. You don't NEED a FPR it is very helpful, but you don't NEED one. Yes you will over run the stock FPR and you'll have to pull more fuel out due to higher pressure and it'll idle a bit funny, but you don't NEED a FPR. There are a ton of people running Walbro 255/ Supra...
I'll throw a dig together today. From what you have benn saying you fans maybe onit's way out and just swapping the fan should fix it. For me the wire harness was the problem ?ie: blowing fuses with the fan disconnected. Yes you can kill the battey doing it my way/ My wife did the 1st time she...
I'm running an EVO VIII fan right now and I controll the fan with a switch inside the car. All you need to do is run a wire w/ a fuse to the fan. Run the ground inside the car to a switch. Then to ground. You will need to get a 30 amp switch from Radio Shack or you will fry the switch with in a...
