    Unfortunate, but on the bright side we risk it every time we slip the clutch on a hard launch, and I'd rather replace clutches than trannys all day haha. How long did the ACT hold up? It's what I have as well and I have no complaints yet with 20K miles Good luck on the new clutch install.

    Well, depending on how thorough you want to get, it should be a couple small bolts to get the cover off, I'd at least do that and just inspect the timing belt to make sure it isn't about ready to break.     Possibly a faulty coolant gauge sender? Does the car give any other signs of over-heating when this happens? Can you hear/see the coolant boiling?
