2G Subframe bolt broke in frame.

I probably could, I just dont know how much I can open up the hole without sacrificing structural integrity.

2G Subframe bolt broke in frame.

That is an other issue, if I wanted to create a gap for the weld I would have to drill out the hole in the unibody. I can't undersize the stud because there would be slop between the stud and subframe bushing. I don't remember exactly what they are torqued to, but it is prolly around 90ish...

2G Subframe bolt broke in frame.

That's what I'm thinking to, the only issue is that there can't really be an exposed weld since the subframe and unibody have to be flush like the other side.

2G Subframe bolt broke in frame.

Hello my fellow DSM addicts!I recently dropped my subframe to do solid bushings. Upon reinstallation, I was torqueing down the passenger side bolt and it suddenly stripped out. Upon further investigation it looks the previous owner broke the bolt as there is part of the bolt still within the...

96 GST rebuilt engine or no?

That is correct, it basically threads in from the side to put tension on the tensioner until the grenade pin can be moved freely.

2G Which intercooler is best for me?

I bought a 95 gsx with the exact same mishimoto fmic and crappy piping. I personally plan on either buying an ets fmic kit for around 600 shipped or buying a mishimoto (or similar) same side intercooler and make a custom kit out of generic pipes and welding. I can't believe the guy kept the...

96 GST rebuilt engine or no?

Like the previous guy was saying, take of the oil pan/strainer and look for any bearing material. Anything that looks out of place and check for excessive crank shaft play side to side. If the motor checks out, then I would replace gaskets, oil pump, timing components ect and then do arp...

    2G Engine won’t crank

Often times, the small ground wire that connects to the starter falls off and can cause that. Make sure that wire is grounded properly and hooked onto the starter properly. Also, you can try jumping the starter relay (behind the center consul) and see if that works. Make sure you are getting...

Depends on the course. The track near me has a day fee or join for a membership.

    2G 2G Front Seats

I would either find a used pair of seats from a 2g or customize the seat bracket from a 3g to bolt in. I'm running the black leather 2g seats in my 97 gst and then I'll be custom fitting nrg reps (yes reps because I can't afford legit ones). The 2g interior is a tight fit, with my planned...

    99 4g63 in 96 car

The engine should swap in as far as I know.... I have no experience with the eagle talon part of DSM's but I know you can swap a 99 4g63t into a 96 without much, if any, modifications.

Resolved Black Leather seat tear fix?

I've fixed a few leather seat tears, just not on a dsm (I have only cloth seats). I would buy some thread and a needle and stitch it shut and tight. After, inject some leather or super glue into the seam to join it.

    2G First DSM build advice.

Hello my fellow DSM addicts.I apologize if this has already been discussed numerous times, but I want a more updated advice with the added context of my car. My dsm is currently a 97 gst, however I will be gsx swapping it over the winter. My intentions for the car is to make it more of a...

    2G Turbo feed line fittings.

I need the thread size since I'm getting a line made, I'm not gonna buy an oem line.

    2G Turbo feed line fittings.

Hello my fellow DSM addicts!I have a quick question that I'm hoping someone can answer. The car in question is a 1997 eclipse gs-t with the stock t25 turbo. I've been trying to source a turbo feed line, but I've decided to have a machine shop make a hydraulic line. My question is what are...
