What did you do to your DSM today?

Walked by the car sitting in the garage collecting dust, decided I missed driving it and finally ordered a stupid alternator so I can get it back on the road again. Fingers crossed delivery comes Tuesday as Rock Auto promised so I can have it up and running for a small road trip Wednesday...

    Spyder Convertible Top Replacement

I had to improvise a bit using known variables. Since the guide line was missing, I made my own guideline utilizing the seam that rides across the third rib. I utilized the "notch" in the fabric that marked the center and used that to get the top positioned in a "good enough" state at the 4th...

What did you do to your DSM today?

Haven't started yet, but the weekend project is to finish up the wet sanding and put the rear end of the car back together. Body work is infuriating.. but I took my time and I'm very happy with the results so far. It'll have to sit in primer for a bit, until I can afford the bloated costs of...

Spyder 2G Spyder vert top trim plastic body nuts

Don't know exactly what to call these things.. but they're the plastic nuts that hide beneath the trim along the rear of the convertible top. Mine are worn the hell out and I want to replace them for piece of mind now that I've finished up some body work on the rear of the car. Anyone know...

    2G Turbocharging a 4G64

Could it be done? Probably.. but there are connectors on the 4G64 harness that are different from the 4G63t harness. All depends on how much you want to have to rewire vs just sourcing a new harness.

Any way to find out actual availability of OEM parts?

Reach out to Josh at JNZtuning and let him know what parts you're looking for. He'll be able to tell you if they're still available or discontinued, pricing is significantly better than going through a dealership, and he's a supporting vendor here on the site.

    97 AWD Swapped Spyder

Is that roll bar a custom piece? I've never seen one like that, but have been looking everywhere since I bought my spyder for something exactly like it. Can you post up some additional photos so I can get an idea on how it's tied into the body?

2G Piston rings and oil seepage on 4g63

A set of rings can be had for less than $50. If you're refreshing the motor, just swap the rings and be done with it.

My fuse box relocation (project log)

Now THIS is something I'd pay to watch :D.Back on topic, I'm excited to see the braking data you pulled from this trip. My car is in no way track ready, but seeing builds like yours (and a few others on here) gives me the inspiration to keep pushing forward.

My fuse box relocation (project log)

Yep, it was his first time out with it so he was taking it easy (that and it's tuned for e85... and he didn't plan ahead to check availability of e in the area so he was running 93 instead..).. though I'm pretty sure he's just making excuses for why he got passed ROFL

My fuse box relocation (project log)

Apparently my supervisor at work was at Pocono with you..He's not a DSM guy, but appreciates a nice car when he sees one.. was rather impressed with your build :hellyeah:

99 Spyder GS.. working on the 'T'

Now that the drivetrain is situated, I decided it's time I deal with the overdue bodywork. When I originally bought the car, the previous owner had installed a primer black hi-rise spoiler (half assed installation...) and the factory mounting points for the stock 3 piece spoiler were just left...

    98 GS Spyder

One side note, if you're swapping harnesses make sure you add the power wire for the convertible top into the body harness coming from the fuse box. I missed that and had to run a fresh wire outside of the harness after the fact.

    98 GS Spyder

Old posts? Apparently you haven't seen my build thread... ROFLIt's a fun swap, wiring was the hardest part on my end and even that was fairly straightforward. I know a lot of people have already mentioned Ricky, so I won't tag him too.. but he's a great asset to the community.. Especially...

ECUflash Ceddymods and Emissions Readiness BRICK

I gave myself a crash course in XML file editing and was able to unlock the tables and adjust the monitors using the table data posted above. For anyone who runs into this in the future:Open the 20550011 file in your ECUFlash folder with notepad. Scroll to the very bottom of the file and...
