  1. EBC Rotors and pads for sale. Baton Rouge

I have some EBC rotors and pads for sale. All are brand new, never even mounted on a hub. No, I'm not a business and I've been on the site since... jesus I don't know when I got into DSM's, maybe 2002. These are left over from when I was in the scene. I also have an 08 Evo X stock exhaust...
  2. Write up for dash speaker install

I'm about to install tweeters in the dash, should I take pictures and do a vfaq type thing for this or is there already one?
  3. Optical vs. Hall Effect

What plugs are you running? Friend had this exact problem and swapped every ignition related component on the car. Come to find out he was running bpr8's. Threw in some 7's and the problem vanished.
  4. Hacked A/F Auto Meter

That is normal. All cars run richer during accerlation than during cruise. Rich doesn't do damage, lean does.
  5. Steering Wheel Shakes when hitting bumps.

Is your car lowered or have any suspension work done to it?
  6. turbo spool sound

I believe the spooling noise you're after is a result of vacuum turbulence. If you buy a GT42R many times it comes with a Velocity Stack to put over the intake port. Without the stack the air has to flow over the sharp lip whereas with the stack the air is being pulled over the rounded edge...
  7. Time frame on clutch install?

I believe the book time on a 2g clutch is around 5 hours. If you know what you're doing and have a decent set of tools including a compressor it should take you about that in your backyard. With a lift, lots of tools and much experience it can be done in about 2-3 hours.
  8. Which brake pad is better?

The ceramics aren't going to be much of an improvement at all. I have put the HPSs on 6 different cars and all got improved braking. Dust is not an issue with the HPS. I put HP pluses on once but they don't work well until they're heated up and they make a lot of noise. They will have your...
  9. PST Carbon Fiber 2g 2-piece Driveshaft, It's Arrived!

I'm dying for some results and a price.
  10. Any opinions on the sbr bastard 20g?

I have it. Both wheels are too large for their respective housings. It's not the worst turbo however it loves to surge. The compressor housing is too damn small for obvious reasons. Cams are a must to benefit from the bastard 20g.
  11. 6 bolt vs. 7 bolt [merged] 6bolt 7bolt 6-bolt 7-bolt six bolt seven bolt

If you put a first gen tranny in you'll be fabricating some mounts and that takes some work.
  12. Clutch recommendation for 290hp 2g

2600. Fullface if it's driven on the street and 6 puck if it's track only. Many will say that the clutch is stiff and a pain and yada yada yada. My 100lb sister doesn't have any problem with it. If you've never driven a car with a stiff clutch it'll take a little getting used to but after a...
  13. Big 16G NOT FITTING!! Need help fast!

With an external gate the 16g can be clocked. Grind the mounts for the actuator and polish the compressor housing to make it look really nice.
  14. Which tuning control for EVOIII?

Tuning with an AFC is like screwing in the back seat of a small car, it can be done but it really doesn't work all that well. You shouldn't have to send the eprom ecu to the US, any electronics repair place should be able to socket a damn eprom slot.
  15. 9:1 compression vs. 8.5:1 on a big 16G Pros/Cons?

I'm a fan of higher compression but when it comes down to it there is no such thing as opinon in the mechanical operation of a motor. The engine is governed by the laws of physics. There is no "i think". It is or it isn't. You can take the time to learn and find out what is truly best for...
