    Idle, cruise and boost issue

Hi all, I've been dealing with a problem that I can't seem to get figured out. All the symptoms seem to be pointing to a vacuum leak, but I can't seem to find where the leak is coming from. All I've had at my disposal to find it is a can of carb cleaner and listening for idle changes (not the...

    Choppy Idle with video!

Well, did the t-belt over the weekend and everything is running much better - but far from perfect. I've got all the signs of bent valves. Going to try and pull the engine this weekend If anyone would find it helpful - I don't mind posting some pictures and doing a little write-up Also thanks...

    Choppy Idle with video!

So I checked the cam gears and they are lining up great. But the crankshaft pulley is not where it's supposed to be (marked by the t on the plate adjacent to the pulley). Is it possible for the cams to stay in timing with each other while the crank is off (two teeth it looks like!)? Or am I...

    Choppy Idle with video!

Timing belt was changed in February. BLT was done - no leaks. I am going to confirm tonight that I've got spark and proper timing with a gun. If it is the timing belt jumping teeth, is there an easy way to get it back to proper timing without getting into the nitty gritty of a timing belt...

    Choppy Idle with video!

Hey all, I've lost heaps of performance all throughout the rev range - can barely build boost and the idle sounds like a dying tractor. Recently the a/c belt popped off and has since been removed. Wideband o2 cable fell into the pulley and messed up itself and the belt. Some of the insulation...

    Maf-T reset to original. Help

stock size if 450cc. I just did this on my car when I got a Moates Ostrich - set mode switch to what size GM maf you got according to this: 3" - both switches off 3.5" - switch one on, switch 2 offSet Aux to zero and set base to 2. Zero out Mid and WOT. That's it

1G AC belt causing other problems?

I'm going to try and put the belt back on, check the sender, clean up the wideband cord and do a BLT just to be safe. I'll poster back when I got some results. Thanks for the input, guysSooo. Ended up cutting the belt off because it was right knackered. Found that it coming loose had knocked the...

1G AC belt causing other problems?

I will check the sender - thanks! I am using it as the primary o2 sensor - it was still reading values just fine, and I've driven sans o2 sensor (forcing open loop) before and it never surged. Just ran fairly rich. The surge is strange though - it will surge around 1250 to 750, then drop and...

1G AC belt causing other problems?

Hey all, Something strange happened to me last night and i was hoping to get some input - While driving somehow the cord for my wideband fell into the path of the accessory pulleys and got chewed up a bit and removed one of the belts for the A/C. No weird noises or anything from the car - just...

    Resolved AEM wideband questions

Alrighty then - to me it defeats the purpose of buying and installing a more precise (wideband) sensor if you're going to put it in a place that can give you inaccurate readings. Might as well just log the front o2

    Resolved AEM wideband questions

Yeah, it's an O2 sensor bung. The welding can be a pain for a lot of people though - unless you have nice friends haha. Regardless, I wouldn't put it post-cat/post flex joint to get as accurate and quick readings as possible.
