Ah, well, it was just a joke. The "TURBOCHARGER" on the Ebay turbos always amused me. It makes me start imagining if every car part said what it was, including obvious ones like the steering wheel and cup holder. In aviation that probably wouldn't be that unusual now that I think about it.
Like I always say, the best turbos say "TURBOCHARGER" right on them. Would you by a brake rotor that didn't say "BRAKE ROTOR" on it? Or a power steering pump that didn't say "POWER STEERING PUMP"? Didn't think so...
While it may seem aesthetically right, your plug wires are ran wrong. The little arrows in the valley are there for a reason and they guide you to keeping one pair of wires away from the other. 1 and 4 should be on the passenger side of the rubber grommet and run along the top of the valley. 2...
Most people just wing the nitrogen cycle thing. It's far more important for fish with water temps above 74 degrees. But it does basically apply to any animal that will be spending a great deal of time in the water in an aquarium. I didn't learn about it until I was about 25. Then I was like...
I've had a turtle for literally 30 years now, since I was ten. THIRTY. I've had girlfriends who were younger than my turtle.I've also had some pretty elaborate aquarium setups. I don't know why your turtle died, sometimes purchased animals just die- especially exotic ones. However, I can give...
Awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. Lift is about what I measured with calipers. They may be too big for me. I went back to a stock intake (from JMF Race) and will be running either an Evo 3 16g or 20g (I have both, down from a 6766). I have HKS 272s on the shelf. I'll try the FP cams first...
So I got the P/N off my previously unknown "Stage 4" cams that came with my car. 101-FP4R2-8. At least it seems like it should be a 2 at the end. I did a fair bit of searching and found that cams called "FP4R2" indeed do exist, and some people have used them, but I couldn't find any specs...
I work on my car so I should definitely watch out.The issue with "shops" is that there are only basically three kinds...1) Brand specific shops that are pretty good but charge NEAR dealership pricing for work (like 0-20% less usually) but WILL NOT do anything custom. They'll replace your...
I bought this new in September but decided to go bigger. It has never been bolted up, just stored. The only not factory-fresh thing about it is that I *carefully* bent the wastegate port slightly to clear a Forced Performance 4" intake (intake not included). This cost me $799 but they are on...
Mine is just a recirculating style. Their design is pretty compact compared to some Ebay units, that being said my car had a T4 with full 3" v-band discharge. Needless to say, the dipstick tube, and a bunch of other stuff has been fought with and they lost.
I just bought one.In reading the forums on this subject I am sure people will probably say "U SPENT $320 ON A $40 PART!?!?!?" But let me tell you about the reality of those $40 parts. Before I begin, I'm not going to get on some soapbox about supporting the U.S. economy or "innovators" because...
Hotter, higher pressure gasses expand faster into cooler lower pressure areas. Which would actually contribute to creep. If you wrap your manifold and turbine housing, all else being equal, I believe you'd have worse boost creep because you've made the system more efficient and increased the...
