    '92 talon N/T Build Documentary

I have converted to turbo on my NT block and internals.I'll save ya the trouble and tell ya to goto a 16G. I went to a T25 and thing runs out of steam really quick. A 14B may hold out a little longer but not by much. Also goto turbo cams. The NT cams have great off the line performance but do...

    Smoking 1g, low compression

This video doesn't show any bubbling in the coolant. That looks normal. Mainly the waterpump just flowing water. Besides the fact it's brown. Which could be rusty coolant or you're using Dexcool.Regardless, that's an awful lot of blow by and you may have a ring issue.

What did you do to your DSM today?

Ordered a XTD Stage 3 clutch. Ordered a stainless oil feed.Very excited about this. Stock NT clutch only holds about 5 psi.

Doing leak down test. Couple questions

I may have been distracted when writing that. Ignore it. My wife tends to only need me to do something when I'm in the middle of typing.

starting tear down on 95 gsx

Looks awesome. Wish I had the time to do all that to mine when I rebuilt the motor.

Video of my ride. Well clip.

Car looks good. Could use a wash. And a bit more of an interesting video next time. :)

    Engine surge/Rpm gauge jumping

Not really. Just pull them off. Not much coolant will be lost. Just try to keep them higher then the radiator cap.

    O2 Sensor Plug Shredded

Sounds like an awful lot of work over a shredded plug. Just hardwire or make your own plug. It's not like O2 sensors go bad so often that you'll be constantly changing the plugs on them.

    Starting problem (Videos Included)

That is 1 of 2 things. I'd 90% go with a bad starter solenoid (part of the starter). They get sticky when it gets cold. Mine does the same. Thats the loud clicking you get when you're trying to turn it over. The other 10% would be a dirty starter ground or the main lead going to it.To add to...

Doing leak down test. Couple questions

This is assuming your timing belt broke and you bent valves. If thats the case then you will end up replacing the valves, guides, plus labor, pending there is no issue with the head itself. You'd be better off getting another used head.

what kind of gas mileage are you getting?

Mixed highway and city daily drive I get around 24mpg.12psi on the NT motor.

Doing leak down test. Couple questions

To be honest you need to tear the head off regardless at this point. What lead your car to the point of not running and you doing a compression check?I'm gonna guess and say your timing belt broke. If thats the case you might as well just start hunting for a assembled head and fix it with no...

What is this called / Where does this go / What does this do? [MERGED]

Wow. Nice shot. Definitely a knuckle. Lower arm, and the rear subframe. Check other surrounding components as well. The upper control arm, the strut. Rear swaybar. You'd be surprised what gets brittle with that kind of impact.

    Low Comp Numbers

I have a 1.8T Jetta sitting in my bay right now with 10in of vacuum and 65 and 70 psi on the center cylinders. Car runs like complete crap because there isn't enough compression to even burn the fuel in the cylinder. When I can get it running it runs like crap with a miss at idle and under load...

    Low Comp Numbers

The car would run like complete crap when you start getting that low. I would redo the test. How does it run now with the new BS and timing belt?
