Thanks for all the feedback guys. The parts site is really helpful. Looks like buying some 3/8 pipe and having the shop cut it and replace is the easiest path. No special curved pipe is required for these coolant pipes as I first thought.Sparx

check your local junkyards :rolleyes:im running an A/T as well and have never had problems with it shifting but id point at the TCU to be the culprit of your problems. i think there might be a solution and you can get something out of it...

thank you for this. I read it when you wrote it but I never replied. I swapped the solenoids for gears 1 & 2 but the non shifting issue was still present. I was going to sell the car but a friend told me the TCU's are sometimes the culprit of...

Your TCU should be commanding the 12v to the solenoids for shifting. For 1st gear, it applies voltage to BOTH shift solenoids, A and B. I can't tell you why it is not turning off the B solenoid for 2nd though. The sequence for the 2 shift...

You are correct that there are 4 solenoids, but they are better called: Shift Solenoid A Shift Solenoid B Torque converter Lockup Line PressureThe shift solenoids work in tandem to control what forward gear is engaged. A___B on_on -- 1st on_off...

For those who care, the problem for me wasn't the gear solenoids, it was the TCU! I replaced gear solenoids 1 & 2 and problem still persisted. I ordered a used TCU off Ebay and were back to normal shifting and operation!!!
