correct me if im wrong people but i think for the 9 second class you cant be under 2500 but that may be with driver. i bought my chassis from a guy who was running 10 flats and it was marked on a window sticker from raceway park that it met the 2500 requirement. i dont know though.

to me cutouts seam like they would make alot of power when open but be more restrictive then just the muffler when closed. it seams like with that angle it would go down and then have to come back up the exhaust a lil it seams like it would be a bad thing but its just theory in my head

i bought a rolling chassis with a jamex seat in it the guy that i got it from had done this its a disaster and i wouldnt put my life on them they have to be hacked up and its really thin metal. the jamex had to have the stock brackets spread apart a couple inches and the mounting holes cut off...
if you pull back a tad of the two thick wires you should be able to test with a some wire battery + to one and - to the other if the fan kicks on wire it like i said but make sure you splice in and not cut and switch.
