yeah........but no. catastrophic failure? Not happening. The odds of it getting stuck in the journals is 1,000,000 to 1. Try winning the lottery first.
KewlWinter, Thanks for your reply. I'm really lost on the whole oil pressure flow issue, the engine is together and running, what should I do. I have no way of knowing if the oil porting was done during the engine build, QPR Performance doesn't exist anymore.
Hey guys, I'm having something similiar to this.-Metallic pinging at idle from cylinder #1
-very loud.
-Trips the knock sensor.
-Seems to go away somewhat when I rev the engine. too loud to tell for sure.
-Noise goes away completely when I unplug the plug wire:confused:4g64...
Ok, just remember to check the step height after all else fails. Also don't adjust the rod all the way out, it needs to be centered. Don't drive your car with the clutch pedal on the floor, it ruins the synchros.
It sounds like when you stuck a wrench down there to work on the alternator you shorted the fuse out. Do not service your alternator with the battery connected. There is a "ground" post on the alternator, make sure you haven't connected the positive to the wrong part of the alternator, that...
MBC: Hallman Pro RX - too expensive, build you own. Here's why: building your own boost controller will help you understand how the car works. If you are not able to build your own MBC, get a honda.Intake: FP AIP /w BOV Return Flange - OKAir Filter: K&N (/w MAF mount) - OKBOV: 1g...
:ohdamn:
Actually, No, you're all wrong.proof: unlpug your mas and take your car for a drive.
(Yeah, I know with no mas plugged in it will run like crap) but the gauge will function. The stock "boost" gauge is an output of FUEL used.
The gauge is designed for you to see how much fuel you are...
With the amount of work involved with swapping from AT to MT, I would highly recommend against doing this. Many of the DSM crowd actually are switching back to automatic because it can yield faster quarter mile times and helps spool big turbos. your car is rare and awesome, don't fix what...
89-90 shifter cables, 89-90 in-cab shifter assy, 89-90 transmissions are compatible.
91-94 shifter cables, 91-94 in-cab shifter assy, 91-94 transmissions are compatible.if you take the time to compare and contrast the differences, you could probably figure out a way to shorten or lengthen...
Actually, don't do any of that, crankwalk isn't going to happen unless you mess up. even if you can just have a mechanic replace the bearings.Actually, the 2G head flows "better" for lower HP dsms, higher velocity equals better torque, the difference in intake ports only favors the 1G in...
