There used to be a guy on FB that sold the gaskets, but I reached out to him nearly 2 years ago and never got a response, but saw where others had gotten gaskets after I reached out, so who knows if there's any out there anywhere. I'd try the route above? I need to try something different on...
Alrighty,
Lot more investigating this past week. Took the car for a short drive and it only dies when coming to a stop, and downshifting to 1st gear. If I rev the engine right when I push in the clutch pedal, and shift quick enough, the engine doesn't have a chance to die down. From what you all...
Ahh, right on.Hmm, okay, I'm so confused then. Guess I'll have to just drive it around more then. The only codes I had was for the EGR system. And I think that's because I used the 50ohm resistor instead of the 100ohm (purely a guess, will be getting a 100ohm to see if it clears).
I was the one who put the car back in after the motor rebuild, and I made sure EVERYTHING got plugged back in. It's been working fine for nearly 200 miles, just when the car stalled out on me the first time when I posted, and I started it back up to drive home, that's when it was no longer...
Correct, but I know there's an aftermarket one you can add that is supposed to fix any EGR delete issues. did you put on a resistor in the existing EGR plug? if so, what size?
Okay, so I did some messing around with it today, and got the car to stall on me again. It seems to happen when I press in the clutch quickly and causing the engine to idle down quickly. If I ease it in, while slowing down to a stop, the engine idles back normal and stays running, but if I come...
Widg, that's great Intel, I'll have to take a look to see if I, too, have that going on.Dusty, I had just let off the gas pedal so I could downshift, both times it died.I have checked the speed sensor connection and all the plugs I can see from above. No wires melted, cut, or unplugged...
Hey y'all. To start off, I have a 98 420a, 5 speed. The motor was just recently completely rebuilt due to a broken timing belt. I am still working on the break in process, have just over 200 miles on the rebuild. Driving home the other night, went to downshift before hitting the on ramp for the...
HAHA!! That's crazy! Yeah, I tried looking into that place, and from what I see, it just straight up doesn't exist anymore, and that company that took over, doesn't even seem to carry anything.
Ahh. I bet that's it then. What I've got here must be an early 95 model then and then cut back to single row for cost and 2 rows not being necessary I'd imagine. I truly appreciate y'alls help!
Oh yeah, I purchase a ton of stuff from Rockauto. Each one they carry is identical from brand to brand.Took these pics of the one I pulled out of my 95 parts car. Its a 2 row, and metal tanks top and bottom. Only sticker on it shows where it was manufactured I assume, no other markings. Were...
Good to know. I suppose I'll just stick with the factory fan setup for now then. They both work just as they should, so no need to change if it ain't broke, right?I have done some more extensive searching over the last few days, and I did manage to find ONE listing on eBay for a Visteon by C&R...
Where did you get those cooling fans from? My stock ones both still work fine, and I have a 180 thermostat in right now, but do those move more air than the stock setup does?
