Can't you make things easier on yourself by breaking it down into a short block and head combo? That way you can also be reasonably certain it is void of all fluids. It's going to be extremely cumbersome to get into the vehicle at such a low...
Just be sure to lift entirely with your back. Take your legs and arms completely out of the equation.:pBut to answer you I had the seller help me load it into the car and it was okay. I’m not exactly a power lifter but I’m not weak...

I have a question for everybody who knows the answer. What about the cooling lines in the 3G CSM-s? compatibles with any other related cars? I think the 1G DSMs silicone cooling lines will be fine, it's right, or wrong?Okey. do the engine...

Small update, been running pretty good for about 220 miles.
Some minor issues:
A minor oil leak from the timing belt area that's going to be a PITA to figure out. Long weekend coming up so that'll be a good time to pull the lower timing belt...
I got my idle and power steering fixed last night. Everything coming along nicely....until this morning on my way into work.I noticed some smoke coming from the engine bay and then my oil light started flashing and then lit up solid. Oh shit...
Didn't get a ton done this week. I finished up the frame in the front. I POR15'd it, then topcoated with basecoat and clear. Went with the color of the car instead of the stock black.I got a few things in this week. I bought new gauges as...
I have not yet. It has taken a while to assemble all of the parts for a complete rebuild. I am actually delivering the parts to my builder tomorrow morning so he can make a start on it. I'll get his thoughts on them and keep you posted as things...
And to add - on a 2G block, 7 of these are 35mm diameter and 2 of them are 40mm diameter. The one on the head is also a 35mm diameter. On a 1G engine, all 10 are the same size - 35mm diameter. 9 on the block and 1 on the head.
Wel I haven’t been able to get much progress on the build but we finally purchased our dream home. Build should go a lot smoother and quicker with the extra space ;). And yes there is a shop in my future. Couldn’t help but share.
Motor is ready...
I bough this car from James somewhere in Kansas about 2020-2021, I'm sure he's on here.
It was a rolling shell then so I purchased a tsi with blown motor for the drivetrain and at the point of putting accesories back on the long block and...
Big update time.I finally moved away from Ottawa to a place with a reasonable real estate market, and now closing the sale on my first house. Of course a garage was a major priority, so my new house has a 24x30 heated garage that I'll finally...
I was certainly concerned about power, that's why I stepped away from the stroker. E85-level compression, aftermarket intake manifold, higher flow EWG turbine and gnarly cams typically put torque above the 450 ft/lbs mark in the midrange on a...
