    Greenville SC Cars and Coffee

No posts since March?!? Is anyone in the upstate still active on here? I have a 3g eclipse I'm parting out. Once i sell some parts, I'll finally have a running and driving 1g for the first time in over 10 years. I'm more than ready to get back into the DSM community! The last things on my list...

Converting a 1994 Talon into a 1991 with pop ups.

Ive done this conversion on my 92 GSX, although I haven't got around to wiring everything up. I just leave the headlights half up all the time. The hood, fenders, lights and bumper are the obvious changes. The front fender and light mounts are also different on the core support, so you'll need...

    South Carolina DSM

Wow, looks like you've been busy. I wish I had the money to finish my DSM, but Ive got too many other projects and things going on. Good to see somebody in the upstate is still keeping some 1G and 2G DSMs up and running. Id love to come see you run at greer sometime. Ive had my bike out there a...

    Hole in intercooler piping

I need a new intercooler pipe to work with my 16g, so Im just going to the local exhaust shop and having them bent me one. Shouldn't cost much, and it should get me by until I bolt my 20g on. You could go that route if you can't afford a new aluminum one.Oh yea... I forgot to add, there should...

    South Carolina DSM

Sorry to hear you're sellin' it. If you don't remember me, I was the one you bought the block from. If you end up getting a bike let me know and we'll go ride.

    South Carolina DSM

Wow, its been a while since ive been on here and it looks like the local DSM scene is picking up pretty good. My jeeps been taking up most of my time. Looks like I need to scrape together a couple hundred bucks and get my car up and running. If everybody gets together Ill have to come out on my...

    1990 specific?

Thanks guys. I did search some before posting, but didn't have much luck. Those links helped a lot

    1990 specific?

Has there been a post on what parts are 1990 specific? (Vs the 91) I know there are a lot. Im mainly concerned about the engine parts and electrical system. I think almost all of what i have is, but im not sure. Just trying to do my research and know what i have before trying to go and sell it...

    1g with not original motor

The BOV not being recirculated shouldnt cause any serious long term damage. But definitely hook it back up and change the plugs if you get the car. With those low miles and little rust, it sounds like a pretty good deal. And like MadTech said, check for missing bolts. You can tell when someone...

    Rust Fix

Yea, 300 sounds like a good deal to me. I grew up in michigan so im no stranger to rust. And that is a structural area, so you want it done right.

    1991 GST Build. Need Help.

Yea, get some stock injectors cheap. Its the safest and best way out. And as far as HP goals... it all depends on the rest of the setup, every car is defferent, you'll have to do some testing and tuning to hit the number you want.

    Broke down asking for opinions

Well damn, now that you're not hearing it prime it makes me think the fuel pump again lol. Im not sure about testing it, do a search on the forums here.

fuel in exhaust and no start

You need some sort of tuning device, an Apexi SAFC or DSMlink. If you don't have a big turbo that needs a lot of fuel, you'll be much better off going back to stock injectors. It can be a hassle to tune if you don't have the right resources... something to tune with, something to log data with...

Fresh motor, new pedal assembly, slave, rpm drop.

Sounds like your clutch setup is pretty sound. I think its more of an idle issue. I would expect to see more pedal pressure with an aftermarket pressure plate. I seem to remember reading something a while back about a longer rod for the slave cylinder. Search into that for your issue about the...
