Blast from the far past saying what's up to those I've met in meets in the past. Some names I remember and it's nice to see that you are still here. I miss my old DSM, been thinking about picking up another '99 lately. Be safe and drive well!
Lol, I wouldn't know. After my substantial down payment, I'll be paying $620/month over the next three years, and that will be a done deal. :thumb:Since the car is not only brand new, but still stock, I'm not worried about CARB requirements. However long before I start modding, I'll know...
Judging by this, it seems that this is all you have. So I have to ask, why would your first mod be a turbo upgrade? With no engine/fuel mods/ECU monitoring mods, I would not even make a 1 psi increase. If you haven't installed these parts, I honestly wouldn't do so yet.In short, DGajre777...
+2.For a dying alternator, his gauge lighting(I.E. battery light) should stay on. I would first look at the ECU as it was said, then I would look at the fuse box under the hood(just in case you haven't done so already). Also, check the wiring. I had an issue similar to this a few years back.
Most definitely. I didn't do this first hand. However I was very lucky to have not broken anything. An old buddy of mine a few years back with is '96 GSX. He was not as fortunate. :notgood:
I was actually looking for a Z06, but the only Velocity Yellow one I could get nearby was the C6. It worked out though, after some talking, and errors in paperwork on their part, I got it at a very reasonble price:thumb:.I would love to have another DSM in the future. AWD this time(Defiant...
Definitely do some more research. I thought I had it all said and done myself, then to sell so many parts to get what I should have gotten in the first place.Best of luck for all you're going after. :thumb:
Indeed so! I'll never forget the first time I actually stepped on it. That scared the living hell out of me. I can still hear the tires scream, and holding the steering wheel like my life depended on it. ROFL The way the exhaust is setup, two of the ports stay closed until you hit 3500 rpms...
I'm sure you know this already, but I would definitely behave boost wise until you get a better clutch for starters. I had my boost set at 12psi with a 16G on a stock clutch. When you hit boost, there is an extreme difference between the T25 and B16G.As for your future mods, I would...
Two weeks ago, I finally achieved the dream that I've been fantasizing about since I was about 9 years old. I'm now a proud owner of a 2008 Corvette C6. Velocity Yellow with the 2LT package, including the NPP exhaust for 436 hp/428 ft lbs. of torque. However, now faced with having to take two...
I'll have to try to find it amongst all the stuff I have packed up here. What I remember was the smoke show was the most impressive part. ROFLI had maybe 2-3 mods at the time(2003), and still learning the track. I may have ran a mid 14 at best. I'll still try to find it though!
Since my DSM was a daily driver, I ran at a very tame 10-12 psi, and was still able to manage close to 300 whp on a dyno. In my track days, I ran 22 psi, and dyno'd close to 390 whp.
