Why waist the money on parts that are capable of 600hp if your olny going for 400hp. Theres safe....then theres stupid.not to mention your going to make 400hp on a chassis thats almost 20 years old.
Stock 1g rods with 2g pistons are good to about 400hp. The higher comprssion 2g pistons will give you more likely hood of knock under higher levels of boost with pump gas.
You'll want to keep the timing stock. Once you start tuning with link you will be able to adjust timing more accurately. It's tough to say where you want to set your timing. You pretty much advance your timing till you get knock.
