Maybe if I had stock cams I'd be pulling 16psi by like 3200rpms haha. I'm sure the FP2's did something to my spoolup times cause I have 0 boost leaks on both the intake side and everything from the turbine housing on to the DP gasket is all good with new gaskets. Plus I'm on a fully ported...
Bringing this back to life. I got the kit on my car. Works fine on 16g variant apps. I have no more bumper support though it wouldn't fit (the long posts that go into the square holes) so it's gone. But other than that it performs quite well I just didn't use the UICP because I already had a...
Another vote for the flush here. But if your stock radiator has enough miles and gunk it in it could be clogged period. How does your Upper radiator hose look like? does it get all bloated up when you overheat? let us know
You must have not touched a 1g that's 16 years old @ least with some nice seized up studs in a turbine housing. They suck. Once you use aftermarket bolts(Don't do it btw) or even OEM especially without anti-seize you're just asking for a broken stud. Drilling is a PAIN if you don't have a drill...
Exactly what he said. Stock composite is like a fail safe as well. If you blow anything you blow your gasket instead of internal parts like your rings ;) Happened to me with my 4 layer mitsu MLS and I'm never going back to one ever again. Sticking with the stock composite thank you. I'd rather...
BTW don't use that oil feed line. I've read some past threads with ppl saying not to use it. Get an SS line right away. Also check the manifold to turbo bolts (4-10x1.25) and see if they're OEM or @ least OEM quality (grade 10 or higher) cause I've made the mistake of using aftermarket bolts...
Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah well the guy that sold me the turbo's a good guy I don't blame him but yeah kinda outrageous to find the turbo like that. Putting on that big16g in tonight. Hopefully it'll feel GRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrreat again. haha
So a fellow DSM'er sold me an evo 2 turbo for pretty cheap so I wasn't expecting it to be in the best shape ever. In an old thread I posted a couple days ago I showed how I ported my old big16g turbine housing outlet to match the 2.5". For the past couple of months I've been trying to get this...
I'm no science major or scientist but the gases have a direct pathway and it should be surrounded nonetheless but it would be okay for them to expand after the original path. Kinda like unmolested air that the turbine wheel can't detect and there's just too much for it to compress. Like how they...
