Yeah, I noticed that one. Unfortunately that post is by symtech labs, and like I said before, I've tested the 2 common spark outputs. On this diagram(on the db37) it is pin 36 (brown) and pin 6 (tan/orange). I get absolutely nothing off of those.
As for symtech, I'm not sure how they install...
Yeah, so that second diagram, with the stepper IAC, and the 2 spark outputs on pin 36 and 6, was the diagram I originally used. I have no outputs on those pins.
Diyautotune installed a logic output. I wasn't sure what type but I belive, according to mega manuals, it's a resistor type setup. But...
Alright, so, tuning is new to me. In fact everything about electronics on a car is new to me besides replacing sensors or pigtails, so forgive me for my ignorance. In October I got a quote for an MS2 from diyautotune. The guy I spoke with was adamant about me getting the MS3 but that a little...
I'm just here from the experts opinions, but I'm currently waiting on a email with a quote for a built MS2 from Diyautotune.
It wouldn't hurt you to look on their site, they have a whole page dedicated to putting a Ms in a 420a and a list of what you you need to buy depending on what you want...
Yeah, the goal was never to run the car for more than a Minute or 2. I just wanted to make sure I have good oil pressure, no coolant leaks, good alternator connections and so on, ya know, just get a rough idle.
I didn't really think about just how much fuel the injectors would spit out. At 25psi😅
Okay so back to the amateur questions. I bought 775cc FIC injectors, deatschwerks DW300 pump, and aeromotive fpr 30-100psi adjustable. I threw them all in when I put this engine together and put it in. No tune yet.. I was fully aware that running the car for too long without a tune with this...
Good SH** I like it man. Thanks!
I'm gonna put both transmissions in the garage and tinker, I know my spare has a spotty 3rd gear. Not sure if I'll actually do anything with it bc I've never worked on the inside of a trans. But it's a good time to cleanup and paint things, give it a good look...
Just a little update, I used RTV on a 5/8 plug bc I couldn't find a 16mm one. I bought 2 luckily. The plug fixed the leak at the front, as expected. But, I feared that the plug at the rear was also missing, and I was right. So I've pulled the transmission, I cannot seem to get the cv axles out...
So I think I found the culprit.
I'm not sure of the correct name,, but it's a freeze plug for oil on the front of the block. I just never realized it wasn't plugged
I know what I have to take off.
What I'm saying is that behind my crankshaft gear, the back side of the cover isn't there. It's just the crank gear then the seal
I realize that a seal on the cover wouldn't actually be so integral in sealing the block but from my experience, most cars have a piece that keeps the main seal in place... and I'm wondering if that is on the cover
Okay, soooo, it was dark when I got home so no pictures yet... but I was looking at a diagram online and noticed that the timing belt cover has a seal on it.
I couldn't get my cover off my old engine so I never put it on this one. Is there any reason that it could have anything to do with this??
