    16g questions

Is it a real MHI 16g or a knock off. Low boost could be caused by a large boost leak or something is up with the wastegate. The wastegate actuator could be shit if its a knock off turbo, or it could be stuck open. There are a number of issues that could cause this. Start with a boost leak test...

General What the preferred Wideband in 2020?

I just upgraded from an AEM UEGO to MTX-L Plus this week, hands down love the new wideband, logs way faster and more accurate.

2G Dsm gs, gst, or gsx

The front bumper tells me this car is a 95 or 96 how ever the CAS is on the left side of the valve cover, the 95 and 96 CAS is under the cam gear, this car has either been motor swapped or CAS swapped. You will need to do your homework on this on before you buy it. This car is not a stock car.

New Product Testing: DSM Stock Replacement

Monday!!! Such a tease lol. At least it will be a solid write up and not just numbers spit out that have no real i formation behind them. Looking forward to Monday.

Slow to start with bigger injectors

One thing to remember is if you have an out dated version of dsm link the fuel pump does not turn on with the key, you have to click the starter before the fuel pump will start. But if you update your dsmlink to the newest update you will get the option to have the pump prime with the key in the...

GVR-4 what's my next step to start boosting up?

I highly recommended that you decide on a horsepower goal and how you plan to use the car. Be realistic as to what you want to do. The worst thing you can do is start throwing mismatched parts at your car expecting big numbers and not blowing the car up. 550cc injectors with a fp black on a...

Unknown part of blow off system

Looks like someone put a boost controller on the blow off valve. What is it tied in to on the other side?

Maintaince before performance. Get all of the service work done before you start modifying stuff. You want a healthy car before a fast car.

    Opinions

That all depends, is this strictly a race car or a DD? If it's the daily keep the interior. If it's a race car and your trying to make fast passes then strip it out.

    2G T3/T4 install

I wouldn't even run a T3/T4 these days. There are better turbo options out now that have better spooling characteristic. What is your house power goals for the car and what are you planning to use it for?

    ECMlink Breaking up under boost?

On your check list for boost leaks you put no noticable leaks, have you done a proper boost leak test? If not then that's where you should start. The tester is cheap enough to buy or make. No since in even try tuning the car until you are 100% sure there are no boost leaks.

    DSMers in Lacey/Olympia area?

I'm waiting until 2020 to get new tags on my car. My car wont pass DEQ either, but as of 1/1/2020 washington is done with emissions testing. Oh I cant wait, glad my talon is not my DD.
