    We haven't hosted this event for several years now. Not much interest from Canadians to race in competition. Yes, Blackbird is alive and well. We were out countless times running the drag strip and also running circuit. Rarely ever see any other dsm's out, so race domestics most of the time.

    All of the above (and me) is just guess work. Strip it down and fully inspect everything. Sounds like a rod bearing though. What was your oil pressure like during the time it did run. I don't see any issue with your general parts list, you may have to accept that "your" work was the issue...

    At the lap times your running half a tank should be fine, but note the faster you go the worse it gets.

    Do a pressure test on your coolant system, could be a cracked head. Seen it several times on these old castings.
