i use a small fan pointed right behind my head but away from the nozzle to keep fresh air coming into my area. (im at home) is that enough or do i need to take more precautions for anodized metals ?
so the head of my legacy 17 torch ripped today exposing a broken copper element .im really glad i didnt strike an arch.anyone else have this happen to them? im really disppointed as now im done for the weekend. =(
does anyone have a good way to cut square tubing, 1/16 think. i was thinking miter saw but i cant find a ferrous metal blade and it wasn't recommended on a welding forum.
miller diversion 180 , 95 amps, 3/32 2% lanth tungsten on a %8 cup. single pass. 1/32 filler.tips? i really dont like the 1/32 filler. its too thin.:hmm:
at 120 amps? ill try a new battery. my helmet is a realgear which i know is no miller helmet but its no harbour freight ether.could that be too much for the tungsten i have?
hey guys, so im still getting the random arc flash as im welding. which is causing my helmet to freak switch on and off and flash myself. im starting to think its my torch angle or tungsten, gas flow has no effect on it. i turned it up and down. i never had this problem when i was using red tip...
heres the tungsten. and my first scrap piece.Urban, what lens size are you using? what does going up and down in size do other than creating a larger gas coverage zone?
i have a 180, ya i saw that one, i guess im just not used to it. i have a #7 lense and i had the argon at 18cfm the ground was less than 6" away. it was on a uncleaned part of the scrap though?
