no point in getting 660's when if you got 550's with your mods you would still be rich and having to use an afc to turn em down. A set of 550's can carry the right car into the low-mid 300hp range if done right.
boost is just a number with out basic mods, but if you want the power from more boost you need more fuel, bigger injectors, fuel pump, AFC, and preferably a fpr:dsm:
I agree you dont wanna buy a mystery e-bay turbo. I suggest a big t-28. They get a bad rap cause it has a small t25 housing but that means it spools faster than the big 16g and evo16g but it has huge wheels so its just as powerful, 380hp max and holds to redline. But you wont be able to run...
bit of advice you will most likely get something that looks like a 2yr old put it together, you get no instructions and, well I could go on but .... I would advise getting one once you have really researched the good name brand ones, like magnus, adfx, venom. I learned the hard way and a intake...
My suggestion is keep your injectors, trade your fuel pump for a smaller walbro 190 (allowing you to get by safely until you get that fpr) and until you really decide to go all out that will be more that enough for your current setup and then some. thats my 2 cents.:dsm:
Any one have or could point me in the right direction to find some diagrams or preferably pics of a 95' GST manual tranny apart? I give mad thanx to anyone who does cause I can't find S*** any where.
I went to the dyno last week and was really pissed I couldnt get more than 13.3 lbs. boost out of my setup. Does the waste gate open up at 14lbs. on a big t28 and what can I do to get it up to 18lbs. , new actulator arm? :dsm:Thanks,
I have the injen with velocity stack filter and its basically mas plug and a few radiotor hose clamps to mess with. The wires you can just basically drop in but make sure when you take the old wires off the new ones are in the same spots and you don't get the wires crossed, very easy. :dsm:
Thanks,
I have kind of set up a goal to eventually put down about 360 to the wheels with that turbo and I believe it can be down after i add my imaginary hks cams and magnus intake manifold, coming soon now I am anticipating 330 whp after tuning. sound reasonable? :dsm:
I am taking my car this weekend to Atlanta to have a good import shop dyno and tune my afc and the plugs I run are the same you suggested and it actually help push my fuel cut back installing the afc with the recommended starting settings for a similar setup, so its always been there. I think my...
