hit me up if you need mounts. like donnie said, they are made for a dsm/evo 1-3 block. can run 6 bolt or 7 bolt, but need the 7 bolt timing side engine bracket.
always good to start with your goal, then determine what HP is needed to reach goal relative to your weight. A 68HTA is bolt on and quick spool for ~400-450awhp. If you need more HP, then you need a bigger turbo (or nitrous or both).as for responsiveness from a roll (in controlled conditions...
but they still last long enough that it doesn't matter. car will probably rot or head gasket pop before it matters lol. But as we had talked about, sleeve a 2.4l if he really wants to spend the time and money sleeving.
I can't take all the credit; came from a discussion with @donniekak when planning my MR2 build. Ultimately, I decided to keep it simple and did the standard stroker with K1 h beams and Wiseco HD pistons and an Eagle 100mm crank. If the car was only a hair more race oriented, I would do a 2.0l...
Yeah, he could also google honda's oem rod ratio for a k24 ;) they seem to think it will last a very long time and not have warranty issues for worn pistons skirts, bad ring sealing from worn sleeves or bent rods... :D
people have been running strokers in DSMs and EVOs for years and many 10's of thousands of miles. will it wear more than a 2.0, yes. will it wear enough to matter before you change up the setup, sell the car, break something else, LOL, probably not.why not rock it without sleeves,,, then IF...
No plans for records with the car. I don't want to cage it and ruin TTop life. My wife and I really enjoyed it. I did just order some new tires that meet "hard tire" no prep class rules so I can have a little fun racing it. Probably not enough power to keep up with the turbo or nitrous v8's but...
