Just replaced my EGT gauge from Greddy to Apexi and I noticed that the probe is too long to fit in the current #1 runner tap. Can I bend this?or should I just invest in a TRE probe?

I've had a mechanical one and an npt fitting took the place of the stock sensor in a socket just behind the oil filter.
