You need to use the 30-1913 F/IC-6, not the 30-1910 F/IC for this car (and all Chrysler based vehicles/engines). The 1913 has additional hardware to induce a load and create a flyback signal on the factory ECU's injector driver circuit to prevent an injector related CEL.Beau
The inner tie rods are usually what wear out on these cars. I went with all OEM inner/outer assemblies including new boots and it was about $300 including shipping for both sides through JNZTuning. A bit pricey but it's not something you want to skimp on!
Yup! Exactly. As a side note to the OP, I used to have this with my old 2.3L/GT3076R bolt-on housing setup when running over 25 psi in 5th gear low RPM. Interestingly enough, it suddenly got way worse one night, and I eventually discovered a rather massive boost leak (ripped coupler). When I...
How are you controlling boost? It's a bit of a bandaid, but you can do RPM based boost control in higher gears with V3 to prevent surge. I had this same problem tuning a 2.3 Galant VR4 but it was a DSM HTA3582R with the bolt-on housing, so I'd almost expect it since the turbine housing is quite...
Sorry, should have specified the bit I provided was for the 9653 ROM. Been a little while since I've looked at the Evo 8 ROMs.. been messing with mostly Evo X's lately :p
In my experience, a single Walbro 255HP (rewired) will support equivalent to maxed-out 1000-1100cc injectors. You're almost certainly running out of fuel pump. If the problem is flow from the fuel pump, upgrading it will certainly lower your IDCs.Maxing out your fuel pump is certainly...
I would AVOID that first thread at all costs, WOW I've never seen so much misinformation on the AEM EMS in one thread! Almost every point he made was incorrect. The other threads may help but unfortunately tuning a standalone is several large steps beyond simple reflash tuning and does require...
....Read MY post again. You will have to add fuel to your SAFC when you go from 91 to E85. I didn't say the trim value on the SAFC would be positive. I said you have to ADD fuel, meaning a likely a less negative value with your large injectors.I've been tuning for 9 years and have tuned...
