This is pretty common, especially in 2gs.When I run into this the first thing I do is jump the solenoid on the starter:
1. PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL AND HAVE E BRAKE ON
2. grab a jumper wire and put 2 female terminals on the end. Then, run one up from the solenoid to near the battery.
