After waiting over a year, we've received some of the back ordered ARP 6-bolt head studs that have been next to impossible to get. We're still awaiting a lot more to come in, but the ones that arrived have filled all of the back orders we've had...
Alex,If your order # is 14125, it's about to be refunded. Unfortunately, this will be the third order to be cancelled for this last yoke due to this.As noted above in this ad, and in the product listing:"
***************************We will...
Good call.Unless they're idiots like me when I was using three kits to rebuild driveshafts and throwing 2 yokes in the trash "because they were cheap".
The SKF units seem to be similar. They look more like the Suzuki Samurai units.Fun fact---we can blame those guys as well for buying up the MR470072 recall kits---or thank them for keeping demand up. I'm not sure which they contributed to...
Marty, the Power Train Components ones seem to be copies of the newer-style U-joints from Mitsu (MR196899) that are used in the Outlanders, etc. The cross shaft design profile is pretty thin unlike the OEM "beefed up" version.:
Short answer is: "Yes".The aftermarket units are typically much weaker and often snap. I've spent months trying to find suitable replacements that are as strong as the OEM ones. The main issue is that the aftermarket ones are grease-able...
A side note to this......We would LOVE to kick Mitsu in the butt with production on these before they discontinue them like they have a lot of other parts for these cars.*IF* you're just looking to stockpile some away, *AND* you're willing to...
UPDATE: 1 Yoke and 1 u-joint leftSo, the last post was 01/26 of this year about getting a few of these in: https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/a-very-few-u-joints-and-yokes-back-in-stock-for-the-moment.536591/While we have these on constant...
The Gates ones typically have "533" cast into them as well, but Gates is known to often change their products. For a while, they had the same idler pulley in their kits that Mitsu uses, now they don't. Their water pumps went from being similar...
UPDATE: All of the people who were in the order for the available units have now been sent tracking and the final 10 are going out today. For those of you who placed orders on the reserve list (MW, WC, Etc.) I'm still digging and hopeful that...
Did you actually bleed the clutch hydraulics correctly? If the answer is "Yes. I had someone pump the pedal, hold it down, then I opened the bleed screw on the slave cylinder and closed it <rinse/repeat>" then you didn't.
A couple of things come to mind. The idle switch is very similar, and just simple contact. The Hyundai version is much cheaper, and I've seen some shady people selling the Hyundai one on Ebay, etc., claiming it's a Mitsu unit. Selling it for...
