This thread was created to walk through the emissions removal on a 95-96 2g dsm. After reading some of the comments posted on the "How To's" it was apparent that some people are more visual learners rather than reading to one picture/diagram. I...
Here is a link to when I did it last - https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/wiring-multiple-spal-fans-using-factory-relay-to-power-secondary-relays.495144/#post-153672620
I run the spal 30102038 on pretty much every one of my dsms as theyre the only fans I've found large enough to keep the AC pressures under control in AZ summers and have a continuous use CFM rating. I'm currently running them off the stock fan...
Sorry I hadn't replied sooner got that covid bs and was down for a bit.But by 5k rpm my aem oil pressure gauge is pegged at 100 psi. 90 psi at 4k and 100 psi at 5k on up.
Thanks guys I appreciate your help and giving me ideas on how to fix the issue aswell as Idea of normal oil pressure.Im going to try a softer spring like 99dsmer4g63 recommended aswell as a crush washer.I actually looked up springs for it and...
Alright that makes since so porting it won't necessarily change the pressure all around.Just more around the higher rpm where the higher pressure is being made.I guess I thought if I ported it and threw a crush washer back on it would change the...
Iv got a 97 Eagle Talon that I just replaced the oil pump on due to it being warped and leaking oil by the water pump.So I installed a oem oil pump back in its place with the balance shaft delete. The motor was rebuilt not to long ago as a stock...
I would check the Spal data sheet for nominal current and compare that to the factory fuse value. As far as a "dual relay" setup. My recommendation would be to use the factory harness and wiring up to the fan and have the second relay switched by...
The factory fans are on separate circuits, and actually have 'HI' and 'LO' relays (thus the 4 wires to the fan). So if each fan is 13 amps running, you might be able to get away with the factory wiring and fusing, given it seems both fans run off...
Thanks man I greatly appreciate the help.I was hoping to just cut the stock connectors of the old fans and wire them upto the new and do it that way.I understand how to wire them and such with the Hi and Lo.But I guess I'm blind some how I missed...
It didn't come with any information regarding the amps or anything else it just came with the box and that was it.But I looked it up and one website says 25amps and another says 13amps and they have a list for all Spal fans.So I would guess...
I've got a 97 Talon that I replaced the stock radiator fans with Spal slim fans to clear my j-pipe. I was wondering if wiring them to the stock connector from the old fans would be sufficient enough to power them?I've seen some people say it...
